MAR-3-2008 04:12P FROM:
1
I IJ : 1'J (0c?9 (51014 t
Objection to the proposed Permit Amendment 3, DRMS Permit No. M-88-112, filed by Battle Mountain Gold.
I.further object to:
3. The Water Treatment Plant currently in operations being allowed to shut down.
I further object to:
4. Any proposed changes that may be harmful to or negatively impact the citizens of Costilla
County, especially the town of San Luis.
I protest that the San Luis community did not receive adequate notice about the proposed
amendment, as BMRI did not publish the notice in our local newspapers, La Sierra Publication
[lasierra@centurytel.net] and the Costilla County Free Press [costillafreepress@yahoo.com].
I respectfully requests all public hearings be held IN San Luis instead of Denver. This would allow
an opportunity for adequate input and response from our community. Denver is not an appropriate
location to hold Hearings that pertain to our future, as it is an eight hour round trip from San Luis,
in good weather.
Sincerely,
"Quien a su Tierra y las Acequias se aquerencia a sus nietos alimenta.
To care for your land and water is to nourish your grandchildren"
