(Chevron) has contracted WWC Engineering (WWC) to assist in attaining bond <br />release for the former Edna Mine, Permit Number C-80-001. The Edna Mine is located northwest of Oak <br />Creek in Routt County, Colorado. The area affected by this request is located west of the 6th Prime <br />Meridian and is contained in Sections 17, 18, 19 & 20, T4N, R85W. The area encompasses <br />approximately 13.3 acres. <br />As required in Section 3.03.2(1) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for <br />Coal Mining, Chevron herby serves notice of its intention to apply for partial release of a performance <br />bond held on reclaimed land acreage at the Edna Mine. The request will be for Phases I, 11 and III <br />release; backfilling, grading, drainage re-establishment and revegetation. <br />Chevron seeks release of $313,093 for the above referenced area from a performance bond having a total <br />value of $3,071,961. Reclamation liability is covered under Bond Number SB-001 within Permit Number <br />C-80-001. Permit C-80-001 was originally issued November 16, 1981. Reclamation work in the parcel <br />area for which bond release is requested includes: removal of sediment ponds, regrading of the land <br />surface and drainage re-establishment.
