RECEIVED
J' ?/41
FEB 012008
Technical Revision 0,3 Division of tceciamation, 1-24-2008
Permit # M-78-305 Mining and Safety
Gunnison Gravel wishes to request technical revision of Permit # M-78-305. The
purpose is to change Zone boundaries, and increase bonding if necessary so that we may
open a new zone, and include use of an asphalt hot plant as part of our operations. A map
is included illustrating the zone changes requested. The zone change will enlarge
individual zone area, and reduce the number of zones from 8 to 6. It will also enlarge
zone 4 to include zone 5, and a very small portion of zone 6 of the original numbering.
Mining will be accomplished in the same manner as the original permit, except that the
zones will be larger.
Gunnison-County Rural Electric Association has been paid their estimated cost to
move the power line to follow inside the West Property boundary to turn and follow the
North boundary to join the current power line near the North-East corner of the property.
The National Park Service as part of a long term negotiated agreement will have the blue
area on the new map donated to them. This parcel is outside the area to be disturbed and
is considered to have minor archeological value. The N.P. S. has been involved in the
location of the new power pole locations to assure archeological values are preserved.
Actual set up and use of an asphalt plant is expected only to operate when weather
permits, allowed in the permit March through December. The plant is expected to be
located within zone # 4.
At this time we also like to change the permit holder to Gunnison Aggregate
Resources, LLC. Sally and Warren Wilcox are still the sole owners, and as of 1-16-08
have amended our lease agreement with the Dickerson family, owners of the mineral
estate. A check is enclosed for $216.00.
If you have questions or need further information, please call 970-641-3088
office, or cell at 970-209-0442, or fax to 970-641-5811.
I E- T, I?»?V 0
JAN 2 8 2008 r/
Warren O.
