RE: Gray Pit, DRMS File Number M-1990-148. Technical Revision #1 Review
Mr. Spady,
On November 28th, 2008 the Division Received your Technical Revision in response to the
corrective action listed in the August 27th, 2008 Inspection Report. Several issues will need to be
resolved prior to the approval of the Technical Revision.
Reclamation Plan:
1.) Please indicate the species of the saline tolerant willow that will be planted around the inside
slope of the pit.
Reclamation Map:
Please revise the submitted reclamation plan map with the following information.
1.) Please show the gradient of all reclaimed slopes (horizontal: vertical ratio) sufficient to
describe the post mine extraction topography.
2.) The reclamation plan map indicates that the Tamarisks will remain on the site after the site has
been reclaimed. The permit will not be released if Tamarisks are found on the site after
reclamation. Please remove them from the reclamation plan map.
3.) Please indicate where the grass seeds will be planted throughout the permit area.
The decision date for the Technical Revision is December 28th, 2008. Please submit this
information prior to that date.
