BACKGROUND <br />The Tri County pit is located approximately 1.5 miles east of Hotchkiss, CO in Delta County. <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety granted Tri County gravel a 112 construction <br />materials permit in 1977 for the purpose of mining gravel from property owned by Curry. The <br />initial permit covered an area within the north fork of the Gunnison River. In 2000, Tri County <br />Gravel gained an amendment to the existing permit which allowed the mining of an additional <br />91.3 acres on the Curry property. This total area of 115 acres is the current permitted area for the <br />Tri County Pit, as of September 2007. <br />This technical revision to the 112 permit for the Tri County Pit in September 2007, covers <br />changes to the disturbed area, the mining plan, the reclamation plan, and the reclamation costs <br />for the worst case scenario. <br />The permittee for this site is Tri County Gravel. <br />Tri County Technical Revision Sept 07 1
