<br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc. (HGTI), 701 Market' <br />Street, Suite 700, St. Louis MO, 63101, has filed with <br />the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety (Division) a permit renewal application (RN-03) <br />for its Hayden Gulch. Loadout (Loadout), Permit No. <br />C-92-081 under provisions of the Colorado Surface <br />Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979 (Act). The <br />purpope of the renewal application is to extend the <br />existing valid permit to conduct surface coal mining <br />and reclamation activities for another 5 years. No <br />actual mining will be conducted under this permit as ,._- _ - - - --? __ <br />this is a coal handling facility and <br />raflitfati•Sprnr- - <br />`Permitted site' activities will consist of coal shipment <br />(either railcar loadout or railcar load-in), coal <br />stockpiling, routine monitoring and minor <br />maintenance work. This renewal application will not <br />result in changes to either the disturbed or affected <br />areas. <br />The Facilities Area is located approximately 1.5 miles <br />southeast of Hayden, Colorado. The rail spur <br />crosses. U.S. Highway 40 approximately 1,300 feet <br />east of Hayden, Colorado. In addition, the rail spur <br />crosses Routt County Road 37 approximately 1.25 <br />miles southeast of Hayden, Colorado. <br />The general legal description of the permit area is <br />described as: <br />T6N, R88W (all west of the 6th Principle Meridian) <br />Section 10, Portions of E1/2 <br />Section 14, Portions of W1/2 <br />Section 15, Portions of E1/2E1/2 <br />Section 22, Portions of NE-1/4 <br />Section 23, Portions of N1/2N1/2NW1/4 <br />Containing 175.3 acres, all in Routt County. <br />Landowners of record are: <br />Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc. <br />State of Colorado <br />Routt County, Colorado <br />Duane and Darrell Hockett <br />Town of Hayden, Colorado <br />The USGS 7.5-minute quadrangle, map Mount Harris, <br />Colorado contains the permit area. A precise <br />location of boundaries of land to be affected is found <br />in Appendix 3-1 of the Permit Application Package, <br />and is included in this notice by reference. <br />__?-.- - - - - _ - - A copy of the permitre'newal application is available - - - - - - for inspection at the Hayden Public Library, 225 East <br />Jefferson Avenue, Hayden, Colorado 81639. <br />Any person having an interest which is or may be <br />adversely affected by a decision of the Division <br />regarding the proposed surface coal mining <br />operation, or the officer or head of any Federal, <br />State, or local government. agency or'authority shall <br />have the right to submit written objections or <br />comments, including a request for an informal <br />conference or public hearing, to the Division within <br />30 days after the last publication of this notice. Any <br />public hearing will be he d in the locality of the <br />proposed mining operation.'
