19 <br />0 EXHIBIT D, WALSH Pit #2 <br />Mining Plan <br />a) the material will be moved by front-end loaders and trucks, a bull dozer will be used in <br />location where loader is impractical due to loose footing <br />b) the overburden will be moved by front-end loader and bulldozer and stockpiled <br />for use in reclamation <br />c) there will be no water diversions and impoundment's necessary at this pit, all <br />dikes and berms will be for safety and erosion control <br />d) the area to be disturbed at any one time should not exceed 10 acres <br />e) mining will start with this permit and continue sporadically during the years as required, <br />reclamation %vill be ongoing as the site is mined, the active area in the Northwest corner <br />will be continued until exhausted, active mining will move to South central of site, and <br />reclamation will begin in Northwest corner will pull approximately 6" of topsoil, mining <br />will be mined going West until exhausted, reclamation will proceed as mining moves to the <br />West with topsoil stored on-site to be planted with native grasses with ground sloped 3:1 <br />where necessary <br />f) (i) material to be mined is gravel and sand of varying depth with none to 3 fl of topsoil <br />overburden <br />(ii) straight below material is rock and will not be disturbed <br />g) the primary commodity will be gravel for use as road surfacing and the secondary <br />commodity will be clay for use as road bed materials <br />h) there will be no refuse, acid or toxic producing materials exposed during <br />mining <br />7
