Sherman <br />Executive Director <br />Ronald W. Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />Seneca Coal Company, LLC has applied for a bond release at the Seneca II Mine. The bond release <br />application was found complete by this Division on December 1, 2008. Seneca Coal Company is <br />requesting Phase I Bond Release on 135.3 acres of reclaimed land at the Seneca II Mine. The <br />requested areas include 125.3 acres withheld from the SL-1 bond release application and 9.5 acres that <br />were regraded in 2007/2008. Seneca Coal Company is requesting a release of $197,692.00. The <br />surface ownership is State and private, and the coal mined was Federal, state and private. <br />We will plan to conduct an inspection next year when the area is accessible and we will contact you to <br />advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as soon as it has been <br />scheduled.
