November 24, 2008
Technical Revision Narrative
Kiowa County Road & Bridge will import 200 cubic yards of topsoil to replace what has been
removed. The topsoil stockpile that is currently on site is 4100 cubic yards.
No other topsoil will be imported unless needed to complete the 9 -12 inches of topsoil to
cover the effected area. There is topsoil on the remaining pit site that has not been disturbed
and can be used for another time. Approximately 2/3 of the pit has been reclaimed in 1994,
therefore it will not need more topsoil covering. The portion that has been reclaimed will be
reseeded and mowed to control the weeds. Wheat will be planted on the remaining stockpile it
will be planted by hand and rolled in with a sheep's foot roller to polk holes in the ground and
push seed in and then catch water to help with erosion.
Q
Rick Spady
