Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Golden, CO 80402 Natural Resource Trustee <br />Re: Keenesburg Mine, Permit No. C-1981-028, Third Quarter 2008 Sediment Pond Inspection Report <br />Dear Mr. MacDonald: <br />The Division has reviewed Coors Energy Company's Third Quarter 2008 Sediment Pond Inspection report. <br />CEC's third quarter 2008 sediment pond report was received by the Division on November 4, 2008. <br />Sediment pond inspections were conducted by CEC on September 25, 2008. <br />No problems were noted for any of the impoundments in the report. No discharge from any of the ponds <br />was reported. CEC did not identify any maintenance required as a result of this inspection. Due to <br />precipitation events prior to the third quarter 2008 pond inspection, all the impoundments were holding small <br />pools of water at the time of the inspection. The observations noted in CEC's third quarter inspection reports <br />agree with the Division's on site observations.
