Annual Report
Moffat County Road and Bridge
Permit No.: M-1980-239
Operation Name: Sweeney Pit No. 30
Date: November 14, 2008
Yes No X A map is attached?
Yes No X New disturbances last year?
Yes No X New reclamation?
Yes _ No _X New changes in map necessary?
Yes No _X New map required? (See`Note #1)
Yes No X Specific plans for new disturbance next year? (See Notes #1 & #2)
Yes No X Specific plans for new reclamation next year? (See Notes #1 & #2)
Note #1:
Moffat County has an average inventory of 17 active gravel pits and we have only one crusher, which
operates approximately seven months out of the year. Typically, we expect to have new disturbance in
two gravel pits (or less) and occasional reclamation activity in one. That means our only activity will be
stockpile reduction and minor pit-run excavation in at least 14 of our gravel pits each year. No new
disturbances or reclamation will have occurred during the previous year and no new changes to
the previous year's map are necessary. No new map is required.
Note #2;
Moffat County does not routinely make annual construction, mining and reclamation plans for each pit.
Our gravel activity each year is determined by necessity, emergency, budget restraints, and resource
availability.
Comments:
