Kersey Gravel Wetland Delineation Report Ecological Resource Consultants. Inc. <br />1.0 Introduction <br />This report summarizes the wetland and waters of the United States (U.S.) delineation completed <br />by Ecological Resource Consultants, Inc. (ERC) for the Study Area. The delineation was <br />conducted at the request of J&T' Consulting, Inc. (Contact: Mr. J.C. York, 1400 W. 122'"' Avenue, <br />Suite 120, Westminster, CO 80234). ERC conducted the on-site portion of the wetland <br />delineation on April 28, 2008. A follow up site visit with Mr. Terry McKee of the U.S. Army <br />Corps of Engineers (USACE) was completed on June 9, 2008. During the tbllow up site visit Mr. <br />McKee indicated that the site may have been previously delineated and a jurisdictional <br />determination made. Upon further review, Mr. McKee notified ERC that the site had been <br />previously reviewed, twice in 2001 and 2002. However, the previous studies and jurisdictional <br />determinations are expired and no longer valid. <br />2.0 Study Area Location <br />The Study Area is located northwest of the Town of Kersey. Colorado, north of U.S. I lighway <br />(US) 34 and south of US 263, in Weld County. This general region is characterized by broadl} <br />rolling topography. The major feature in this region is the South Platte River Valley, which <br />extends across the southwestern and central parts. The major streams in this area generally <br />occupy wide valleys that are separated by broad, gently rolling to flat interstream divides. Most of <br />the area is used as irrigated cropland. <br />The Study Area can be accessed by taking Interstate 25 north to exit 257A US 34 east. Take US <br />34 east to County Road (CR) 53, head north on CR 53 and turn west on C'R 58. The Study Area is <br />located northwest of the intersection of CR 58 and CR 51. More specifically, the Study Area is <br />located in eastern half of Section 7. To%vnship 5 North. Range 64 West in Weld County, Colorado <br />(Latitude 40.242690 North, Longitude 104.350559 West). Figure 1 provides a general vicinity <br />map, Figure 2 shows the Study Area location on a U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5 Minute <br />Series 'Topographic Map. <br />Figure I.
