Cattany <br />Division Director <br />1300 Broadway Natural Resource Trustee <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />RE: Bowie No. 2 Mine, Permit No. C-96-083, Bowie Resources LLC <br />Permit Revision No. 11, Northern Extension of B-Seam Mine Plan, Cultural Resource Inventory <br />Dear Mr. Wolff: <br />In a letter dated February 20, 2008 from the Colorado Historical Society (CHS) to the Colorado Division <br />of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division), the CHS requested that a cultural resources inventory be <br />conducted as part of the adequacy review of Permit Revision No. 11 for the Bowie No. 2 Mine, <br />The Division has received such an inventory entitled "A Class III Cultural Resource Inventory for a <br />Proposed Lease Modification Area" dated July 2, 2008 from the mine operator. Attached is a copy of the <br />report. The Division requests that the CHS review this inventory report and provide written comments to <br />the Division concerning the report's adequacy and conclusion. <br />The Division appreciates the assistance of the CHS in this adequacy review.
