III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during
the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the
facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a partial inspection consisting of review of aerial photos collected of the Man Mine on
November 19, 2008 by Harty Ranney of Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
(CDRMS). Janet Binns of CDRMS reviewed the aerial photos and made the following observations:
Roads: The mine access road appears to be dry and continues to be accessible. The access road to the
loadout appears dry and unimpeded. The gate on the loadout appears closed. No apparent activity is
observed on the permanent access roads.
Hvdroloaic Balance: Ponds B, D, E and F at the mine site were photographed. Low water levels in all
the ponds indicate that none of the ponds photographed were discharging. Ponds E and F were both dry.
The Load Out pond had a small pool of water.

Reve¢etation: Vegetation throughout the Mine and Loadout have dried down for the winter season.
Vegetation appears stable with no concerns.
