0 6
• pounds per acre of plant available nitrogen. The annual coverage rate will be calculated
based on the average nitrogen content of the mixture.
Chemistry
Sodium Adsorption Ratio
A data summary for the Sodium Adsorption Ratio for potential biosolids mixtures to be
land applied to the Robinson Tailing Impoundment is provided in Appendix B. For each
of the mixtures, the Sodium Adsorption Ratio is well below levels that would limit
revegetation success.
Chemistry of Robinson Tailing Impoundment Rock Cap
The chemical analysis of Robinson Tailing Impoundment rock cap material is provided in
Appendix C.
Chemistry of Biosolids
Chemical analysis reports for biosolids to be land applied at the Robinson Tailing
Impoundment are provided in Appendix D. The Metals Based Classification of
Biosolids, Pathogen Destruction Criteria, and Vector Attraction Reduction Criteria will be
• met prior to delivery to Climax. In addition, Climax will test the biosolids mixture prior to
annual application.
Sampling and Monitoring
Monitoring and analysis for this biosolids program is a cooperative effort between the
producers and Climax Mine in accordance with 5 CCR 1002-19, 4.9.16.A and B. The
producers will have the obligation for any testing of biosolids per these regulations.
Sampling and monitoring. data will be supplied to Climax Mine with proper certification
to ensure that monitoring and analysis requirements are met and in order that Climax
Mine can comply with record keeping and reporting requirements outlined in the next
section.
Record Keeping and Reporting
Climax Molybdenum Company, as the applier of biosolids, will comply with Colorado
Department of Public Health and Environment Water Quality Control Commission
Biosolids Regulations 5 CCR 1002-19, 4.9.17.A.2 and 4.9.17.B.2 for record keeping and
reporting. The required information will be developed and retained at Climax Mine for a
period of no less than five years per 5 CCR 1002-19, 4.9.17.A.2. In addition, an annual
Self-Monitoring Report will be submitted per 5 CCR 1002-19, 4.9.17.B.2. A copy of all
reports, analyses or other documents submitted to CDH by the producers, will be
provided contemporaneously to Climax for proper record keeping.
u
1?1
