Bob indicated that Climax, as well as Summit County and the CDH, will
need to rely on sludge, soil, and crop tissue monitoring trends to detect
changes in sludge quality. Phil Hegeman also noted that Summit County is
required to notify the CDH if a major industrial source locates within the
sewer service area. This will help "flag" potential changes in sludge
quality due to industrial contamination.
Pending approvals from the CDH and MLRB, Bob suggested that Summit County
and Climax plan on initiating sludge application activities in mid-July.
Logistical details regarding truck access and sludge incorporation will be
worked out separately between Summit County and Climax prior to that time.
web
Attachment
Distribution:
John Dorfer
Phil Hegeman
Kerry Heidel
Bruce Humphries
Craig Johnson
Bob Kilborn
Louis Marucheau
Mark Maxwell
Jeff Todd
Buck Wenger
