ANNUAL REPORT
Operator: Tri-County Gravel
Location: Tri-County Gravel
File Number: M-1977-205
Anniversary Date: November 29, 2008
Tri-County Gravel Pit is still actively being mined at this time. Mining activities to date
have occurred in Phase I & H. Over the course of the next year it is possible that we will
begin mining out of Phase III. Currently United is in the process of getting the permit
transferred over. The dike along the river was completed and held up to last year's high
spring runoff. This fall United is seeding the dike area and optimistic that growth will
begin starting next spring. Once this occurs United will actively pursue getting the
permit transferred into our name. Also, right now a diesel powered generator is used to
pump water out of the pit into the sediment pond. United is in the process of adding a
power line to this area so we can remove the diesel generator and this pump will run on
electricity moving forward.
Sincerely,
Justin Aubert
Resource / Environmental Manager
United Companies of Mesa County
