Jeff Todd V 303-421-4680 1211126/91 'J 1:30 HM L52/3 <br />0 0 <br />NOTICE OF FILING APPLICATION <br />COLORADO MINED LAND RECLAMATION PERMIT AIVENDMENT <br />Notice to the County Board of County Commissioners <br />Lake Comity <br />The Climaxo-Ly_bdeMun Gopay_, Cz iawe (Climax) intends to apply to <br />the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board (MLRB) for an Amendment to its <br />current Mining and Reclamation Permit (M-77-493) for its mining operation <br />located in !,al County. The attached information is being provided to notify you <br />of the location and nature of the proposed activities included in the Amendment. <br />The entire Amendment application will be on file with the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology (Division) and with the Lake County Clerk and Recorder at <br />the time of its submittal to the Division. <br />• Climax proposes to add an additional approximate 1000 acres to the affected land <br />at the present Climax site. This acreage is being added to allow for facility <br />maintenance and reclamation activities. The increase in affected land will not <br />increase mining or milling activities at the site. It is likely that only a fraction of <br />this additional affected land will be disturbed. Additional disturbed acreage will <br />be reclaimed to a post-mining land use of Raug_ elajld, I(evelopeci W_ateLesotiLces;. <br />Reczeatio-u. aad-J-adustr-ial Comnaere aI in a manner similar to the existing <br />Reclamation Plan. Pursuant to Section 34-32-116 (7)0),, CRS, the MLRB is <br />required to confer with the local Board of County Commissioners before <br />approving the post-mining land use proposed in the Amendment. Accordingly, <br />the MLRB would appreciate your comments on the proposed Amendment. Please <br />note that, in order to preserve your right to a hearing before the NIL" on this <br />application, you must submit written comments on the application within twenty <br />(20) days of the date of the last publication on the notice pursuant to Section 34- <br />32-112 (10)7 CRS. <br />If you would like to discuss the proposed post-mining land use. or any other issue <br />regarding this permit Amendment application. please contact the Division. 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver.
