III. COMMENTS • COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made

This was a complete inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division). This mine permit is bond revoked. The weather
was clear and mild. Ground conditions were dry. Access on foot was good in all areas.
Reveoetation
Reclaimed areas have reached the end of the growing season. Evidence of cattle grazing
during the growing season was noted and cattle were observed at the Orphan Pit area
shown below. East and West Pit areas and Chen's Hill all appeared to have been grazed,
although not heavily. Erosional stability is still an issue in the usual places where significant
gullies have developed. No evidence of an accelerated rate of erosion was noted.
