III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br /> Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br /> during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br /> and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br /> This was a Partial Inspection of the Hamilton Mine conducted by Marcia Talvitie of the Colorado <br /> DRMS on 16-Oct-2008. The field inspection occurred at 5:15 p.m. The operator was not <br /> represented during the inspection. The weather was clear. <br /> Roads <br /> Roads were dry, and all areas of the permit were accessible by vehicle. <br /> Hydrologic Balance <br /> Pond A was completely dry. Pond B retained only a puddle of water. <br /> Fish and Wildlife <br /> A group of mule deer (two does and three fawns) was seen at the south end of Pond B. A single <br /> doe was observed,crossing through Pond A. <br /> Reclamation Success <br /> During the previous inspection (30-Sep-2008), the landowner stated that weed spraying would <br /> be conducted later this fall.
