Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
Dear Mr. Wickstrom:
On October 24, 2008, the Division issued its inspection report generated from the August 28,
2008 inspection of the above referenced operation. In that inspection report the Division
provided notice to increase the financial warranty from the existing $15,985, by $2,853, to total
not less than $18,838. Pursuant to Rule 4.2.1(2), the Division imposed a 60-day deadline for
the operator to either provide the increased financial warranty or to complete portions of the
reclamation plan as necessary to ensure the adequacy of the existing warranty. Please note
that the 60-day deadline, per Rule 4.2.1(2), will close December 23, 2008, and not 3008, as
indicated on page three of the inspection report.
Please find enclosed a corrected page three for the inspection report and disregard the
typographic error in the original report indicating a corrective action deadline of December 23,
3008.
Please contact me at the Division's office in Durango at 691 County Road 233, Suite A-2,
Durango, CO 81301, phone (970) 247-5469, if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Wallace H.
