III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE

This was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division). This mine is in permanent cessation and
reclamation of most areas is complete. Ground conditions on this day were dry and the
weather was seasonal and mild.
Hydrologic Balance
Pond 5 continues to hold a small amount of water, well below the discharge point. Pond 4,
shown below, was found dry. Both pond embankments and spillways appeared in good
condition with no problems observed.

Processing Waste
The refuse disposal pile was traversed on foot starting at pond 4, which controls the storm
runoff from the pile. No sign of sinkholes or damage of any kind was observed. Additional
