Olney soils have moderate <br /> permeability and moderate available water capacity. The effective rooting depth <br /> is 60" or more. Surface runoff is slow and erosion hazard is low. <br />50 Otero sandy loam, 0 to 1 percent slopes - Otero Sandy Loam soils occur <br /> through northern portions of the site above the Poudre River floodplain. These <br /> are deep, well drained soils on plains formed in mixed outwash and eolian <br /> deposits.
