WW Farms Site. -This SWSP -request will cover depletions to the .Cache., la Poudre River caused by expansion of the sand,and gravel mining operations ut WW Farms (WW;Farms Expansion).. A check" made payable to the Division of Water Resources for the $1593 renewal fee. is enclosed. An existing SWSP request. to cover the 20,08 depletions for Aggregate has been submitted to, the State Engineer's Office on February 2008 by Applegate Group. The CoSSP was most recently approved with .a. letter from the State Engineer's Office dated,October 23, 2007.. EXPANSION of WW FARMS PIT In 2008,. Aggregate began the process of amending their mining permit at WW'Farms. The amended areas, shown in Figure 1, are located in the Southwest '/4 of Section 29 and. the Northwest i/4 of Section 33,' Township 6 North, Range. 66 West,' Sixth 'P. M. 'in Weld County. The first amended site is located on,the northeast corner of 83rd Avenue and O Street in Greeley. The second site is on the southwest corner of 71St Avenue and O Street, west of Greeley The operation will consist of sand.and gravel production and will impact -the Cache la Poudre River in the form of depletions due to ,evaporation and operational losses: associated with,mining. Figure 1 shows the proximity of the site to the Cache La Poudre River. The reclamation plans are not final yet but in. the event that open pits are left' behind,. Aggregate will have filed fora plan for augmentation to cover the depletions,three years prior to completion-of reclamation. CONSUMPTIVE USE AT WW FARMS PIT . ,Currently, there are no. consumptive: uses at the WW Farms Expansion site. However, 'when mining commences,. Aggregate plans to dry mine and will likely-dewater the site. The-estimated depletions for this site include evaporation from the exposed dewatering trench as well as the.
