(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: P-~~n~-n~9
INSPECTION DATE: Aucdus+ ~ fi, 2Clfl8 INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: nR~
OBSERVATIONS
This pre-operational inspection was conducted by David Bird and Tony Waldron of DRMS to see the site of
proposed activities and to discuss the state of the adequacy review that was in process at the time of the
inspection. Present during the inspection was H. Bruce Humphries of Regulatory Permits Management, Inc.,
consultant to COAG Corporation. The site is located approximately 2 miles north-northeast of Idaho Springs in
Clear Creek County.
As the applicant is still responding to adequacy review questions, no activity has taken place on the site. The
Division and the Applicant's representatives discussed questions related to the adequacy review, including mine
waste characterization, hydrology, and shaft safeguarding.
Concurrently with the proposed prospecting activities, the applicant is also in the process of safeguarding the
Franklin and Freighter's Friend shafts per the requirements of the Division's Inactive Mines Program as a result of
bond forfeiture from the previous operator. The state of the shafts and their closures will be an issue needing
resolution before the applicant is able to proceed with prospecting activities.
18~ E Contact Address
NAME: Mickey Fouts -Chairman,
OPERATOR: COAG Corporation
STREET: P_C~.
