Precipitation <br />during August resulted in all ponds receiving inflows during the month of August. Ponds <br />8A and 9B were observed discharging on August 10, 2008 and sampled in accordance <br />with permit requirements. The discharge resulted from 2.4" of rain on August 8" and <br />0.3" on August 9m. These events did not exceed the 10-year/24-hour storm event of 2.9". <br />On August 16th - 17'`, 3.1" of rain was received at Lorencito. This event did exceed the <br />10-year/24-hour storm event and resulted in additional discharges from ponds 8A and 9B. <br />They were sampled on August I e. Water approached discharge levels in ponds 5A, 6A, <br />7A and 9A, but they were not observed discharging. <br />.Additional rain was received on August ISO (0.2"). Ponds 5A and 6A were observed <br />discharging on August 2& and were sampled. Ponds 7A and 9A were not observed <br />discharging during the quarter. Pond l0A received minimal inflow during the quarter and <br />also did not discharge. <br />Maintenance was conducted on the pond 9B discharge riser in late September. The pond <br />was not dewatering and a blockage of the discharge structure was cleared. This activity <br />resulted in a discharge and this discharge was sampled on September 30`h. The discharge <br />was in compliance with all permit limitations.
