Explain what the disturbance is;associated with, , <br />2. Confirm -that the disturbance had nothing to do with the approved Permit No. M-1989-116, and = \ <br />3. Post a sign as such. = - <br />In response to your first request, the Pikes Peak. Highway,has a stockpile, off the side of the road,, of material <br />that is used for cover of the West Phase Area and for road-':maintenance on the gravel portion of'the highway <br />We have taken measures to ensure-material does not leave the site by creating a'berm on the other side of the, <br />road. r <br />Regarding'the second request in your letter, this staged mat rial was not mined from-the active area and was <br />from a source in Colorado Springs. The material is not Pikes 'Peak Granite and clearly distinct from native <br />material. <br />A sign has-been posted so that someone cannot mistakenly think there is a mining operation taking place in <br />this area.
