There may be springs in the pipe trench and Steve has suggested those flows will be <br />carried by the pipe bedding to the exit point of the pipes. These flows are anticipated to <br />be minimal and not undermine the pipe. <br />Additional air vents have been added as recommended and a pipe anchor has been <br />added at the upper pipe bend. Clay cutoff walls are shown on the profile to prevent <br />water undermining the pipe bedding. <br />Pie Exit: A riprap exit apron is shown on the drawings to dissipate energy from the <br />piped channel section. This will be an important item to prevent erosion at the exit and <br />should extend either side of the pipe a minimum of 3-pipe diameters. <br />Thank-you for the opportunity to assist with this project, I hope this review helps you in <br />moving forward with this mitigation.
