WILLIAMS FORK MINING COMPANY <br />October 23, 2008 <br />Mr. Russ Means <br />Division of Minerals and Geology <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Dear Mr. Means: <br />RE: Annual Sand and Gravel 112 Report for 2007-08, and Notice of Intent to <br />Continue Mining Operations (Permit No. M-84-168) <br />Enclosed please find the Williams Fork Mining Company 2007-08 Sand and Gravel Operations <br />report form, map, and annual fee payment ($791). We intend to continue mining operations into <br />2009. The enclosed revised Appendix C map illustrates the surveyed acreage that has been <br />reclaimed (32.65 acres, including 0.83 acres newly reclaimed in 2008) and the unreclaimed <br />acreage that has been mined (14.50 acres) or is simply associated disturbance (20.41 acres). <br />Topsoil salvaged ahead of pit advancement was placed directly onto the area prepared for <br />permanent reclamation at a depth of approximately 18 inches. <br />The projection for the 2008-09 report period (October 26, 2008 through October 25, 2009) is <br />for approximately 2.76 acres of new disturbance in Mine Area 6.
