ANNUAL REPORT
Anniversary Date - October 28, 2008
Permit M-2001-054
DATE: 10-24-08 --- Submitted with map, report and Annual Report Form, and Check
number 2884 in the amount of $323.
FROM: Emery L. Olin
Bridal Veil Construction
1796 N. Main Street
PO Box 1412
Ouray, CO 81427
TO: Division of Minerals and Geology
AKA Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Permit No M-2001-054
Operation Name: Bridalveil
Anniversary Date: October 28, 2008
Total Fee Due: $323
Enclosed is our Annual Report for the year, anniversary date October 28, 2008, with a map
showing work complete to date, and check in the amount of $323.
We have produced and sold 1,126 yards of 1 inch Road base from October 1, 2007 to October 1,
2008.
We have been in the process of reclamation since 2005. We seeded all slopes in July, 2006. We
have received flash floods periodically, in which the Bridal Veil Creek flooded out portions of
our reclaimed banks. We have repaired damage and seeded the banks again. We are again in the
process of screening material which came down the channel and also which has come down to
the sediment pond. We have screened material to make the lower bench approximately 20 foot
larger. We have also started to build a berm on the north side of the property for noise control on
the lower bench because of complaints from a neighbor.
The City of Ouray is still working with the USFS to work out a plan to keep the run-off water
entering our channel. We would like to renew our permit until something is worked out on USFS
property so that water will not come from their property and over our reclaimed banks.
Thank you,
Emery L.
