Re: WRC Gravel Pit, Application No. M-2008-070, Completeness and Decision Date.
Dear Mr. Joy,
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) received the above referenced application on
October 16, 2008. A review of the application notes that all applicable documentation is enclosed.
Therefore, the application is considered complete and ready for review as of the date of this letter. Per
Rule 1.4.9 the Decision Date for the application is set for January 19, 2008 provided all review issues
are resolved and no objections are received. If the application receives no objections a decision may be
rendered anytime after the public comment period is completed provided all issues have been addressed.
Per Rule 1.6.5 the Public Notice should begin within 10 days of this letter. The Public Notice shall be
published four times, once a week for four consecutive weeks. Please inform staff as soon as possible as
to the first date of publication. A Preliminary Adequacy Review (PAR) of the application will begin
shortly before the notice requirements are complete. A pre-operational inspection should be scheduled
for some time in November.
