This is the Wadge Pasture pond that I noticed during the SL-3 bond release inspection, which is not delineated on the Permanent Features Map or listed in the permit as a permanent impoundment, but which the operator does wish to retain as a permanent stock pond. The application was submitted earlier this month and deemed complete on October 8. 1 would request your review memo by November 14. A couple things I noticed in a cursory review of the submittal: 1. The table listing on page 1 of the amended Appendix 13-9 text, immediately folowing the first paragraph, which lists "Stock Ponds to Be Retained As Permanent Structures", appears to have a couple errors. The listing erroneously includes Pond T-9 (not listed elsewhere in text, tables or maps), and does not list Ponds T-8 and T-16 (which are listed in the various other text sections, tables, and maps). The table needs to be corrected. 2. There appears to be no commitment to provide required documentation of State Engineer coordination or approval. We may need to have them provide such commitment in the amended text, along with a specific commitment to provide required documentation of acceptable water quality, persistance, landowner request, and any other required demonstrations, prior to final Phase 3 bond release approval. Possibly, these commitments may be included elsewhere in the permit application, you are no doubt more familiar with this issue and what has been approved/required previously at Seneca II for the stock pond demonstrations.
