<br />The Colorado Division of Rec-
<br />lamation, Mining and Safety pro-
<br />poses to Approve Technical Re-
<br />vision Application No. 57 (TR-57)
<br />for the Roadside Portals (Permit
<br />No. C-1981.041), submitted by ;
<br />Snowcap Coal Company, Inc.
<br />With this Technical Revision,
<br />Snowcap Coal Company, Inc.
<br />proposes to change the post-
<br />mining land use at the Overland
<br />Conveyor, south of 19/10 Road,
<br />from the current approved use
<br />of fish and wildlife to industrial,
<br />which was the classification
<br />prior to mining.
<br />The Roadside Portals is an un-
<br />derground coal mine located In
<br />Mesa County, approximately 5
<br />miles north of Palisade, Colo-
<br />rado. Coal-Interest Is Federal
<br />and private, and the surface af-
<br />-fected Is federal and private
<br />land. The permit-area encom-
<br />passes approximately 3,016.00
<br />acres.
<br />This proposed decision is based
<br />on a finding that the proposed
<br />operation will comply with all re-
<br />qulrements of the Colorado Sur-
<br />face Coal Mining Reclamation
<br />Act, Section 34 33 101, at seq.,
<br />C.R.S., and the regulations pro-
<br />mulgated thereunder.
<br />Copies of the proposed deci-
<br />sion, including stipulations, are
<br />on file for public inspection at
<br />the Colorado Division of Recla-
<br />mation, Mining and Safety, Room
<br />215, Centennial Building, 1313
<br />Sherman Street, Denver, Colo-
<br />rado 80203. Persons with an
<br />interest that may be adversely
<br />affected by the proposed deci-
<br />sion may request a formal hear-
<br />ing before the Mined Land Rec-
<br />lamatlon Board on the proposed
<br />decision. Such request must be
<br />made within ten (10) days of the
<br />initial publication of this notice,
<br />must be in writing, and must
<br />state with reasonable specificity
<br />thereasons for the request and
<br />the objections to the proposed
<br />decision.

<br />Being duly sworn, says that I am Legal Secretary of
<br />The Daily Sentinel, a daily newspaper, published and duly printed in
<br />The County of Mesa, State of Colorado, that said newspaper has a
<br />general circulation in said County and has been continuously and
<br />uninterruptedly published therein, during a period of at least
<br />fifty-two consecutive weeks next prior to the first publication
<br />of the annexed notice; that said newspaper is a newspaper within the
<br />meaning of the act of the general Assembly of the State of Colorado,
<br />entitled "An Act to regulate the printing of legal notices and
<br />advertisements," and amendments thereto; that the notice of which
<br />the annexed is a printed copy taken from said newspaper, was published
<br />in said newspaper, and in the regular and entire issue of every number
<br />thereof once a week for 1 successive week;
<br />that said notice was so published in said newspaper proper and not in
<br />any supplement thereof, and that first publication of said notice as
<br />aforesaid, was on the 10th day of October . 2008,
