1.7.1 Public Notification. Permit RenewallRevision for 2003-2007 Term

<br />The following notice is to inform the public of a permit renewal/revision for the Trapper Mine.
<br />PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Trapper Mining Inc. intends to revise its surface coal mining permit (CDMG Permit No. C-81-010, approved
<br />12/31/97) to project futon-e permit term activities (2003 to 2007). This action is being proposed as permit
<br />renewal and revision RN-04/PR-O5. Projected activities include disturbing an additional 332 acres within the
<br />approved permit area to add new mine pits and advance current pits. The present pemmit allows for a pond
<br />spillway and flume to be within 100 feet of a section of County Road 107. All reviews and comment periods as
<br />provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this date of filing. Trapper Mine is
<br />located 6'/z miles south of Craig, Colorado. The specific area to which this proposed permit revision applies is:
