M. COMMENTS-COMPLUNCE <br /> Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br /> inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br /> evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Munger Canyon Mine conducted by Mike Boulay of the <br /> Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety on October 8, 2008. 1 was not accompanied by an <br /> operator representative during the inspection. Weather conditions were sunny and cool. Ground <br /> conditions were damp. There was no activity at the site during this inspection. <br /> Roads <br /> The access road was mostly dryand in good condition. No problems were noted along its entire <br /> length up to the former portal bench access road. <br /> Hydrologic Balance <br /> East Salt Creek had only a very small amount of water in it. Munger Creek was dry. The rain <br /> gauge located on site had .80 inches of water since the last inspection. Ditches and culverts <br /> associated with the reclaimed waste disposal site, cover soil stockpile site, and the topsoil <br /> stockpile locations were in good condition and maintained. The waste disposal area sediment <br /> pond was dry. The inlet and discharge structures were stable. <br /> Wimem Pond <br /> Monitoring Wdt <br /> Reclamation Success <br /> No signs of significant erosion or instability were noted during this inspection. Quick-Gaurd <br /> annual cover crop came in very well on the reclaimed portal access,waste disposal site, and <br /> cover soil and topsoil pile locations,but has now turned brown throughout the site. The site <br /> remains stable and well maintained. <br />
