Response: COAG Corporation commits to performing mine water sampling during bulk
sampling.
A more detailed description of where bulk sampling will occur shall be provided. A regional
description as in such and such level and within such and such drift will be sufficient.
Response: Attached is a map showing the mine workings. On it is shown the region of the
mine working where bulk sampling is intended to occur. The bulk sample area is labeled "B "
Stope Sample Area.
• Describe to the best COAG Corporation's knowledge, where standing water is and where any
inflows may be.
Response: COAG Corporation has not entered the mine workings. COAG
Corporation commits to taking water samples upon conclusion of bulk sampling. COAG
Corporation will supply this information on the anniversary date of its NOI acceptance by the
DRMS, up and until the NOI is terminated. If any standing water or inflows are discovered in
the area of bulk sampling upon entry, COAG Corporation will obtain a baseline sample prior to
initiating any bulk sampling. However, COAG Corporation will first take the necessary actions
to make the site a safe working environment. The sampling scheme will provide the Division a
baseline and affected area water quality sample.
• To the extent available, cross section(s) and aerial section(s) showing the extent of underground
workings shall be provide. (Of concern to the DRMS is any COAG Corporation's activities that
may causes flow or increase of flow or connection of waters from the Franklin Mine into
adjacent workings and there-by find its way to the ARGO Tunnel.)
Response: Please see the attached colored map that shows both a profile view and a plan
view (map view).
• DRMS wants COAG Corporation to sample the mine water pool during bulk sampling, if such
sampling can be done safely.
Response: Please see the above commitment to this request.
• DRMS would like COAG Corporation to more fully describe its proposed bulk sampling
activity.
Response: As noted above, COAG Corporation will bulk sample in the region known as "B"
stope. No drilling or blasting will be done. Hand picking is anticipated. Mostly loose material
from the stope will be loaded and hauled to the surface for transport off-site for processing and
analysis.
As stated in a previous correspondence, the shaft closure documentation has been sent by COAG
Corporation's engineering consultant to your Ms. Erica Crosby. We understand that the Division
has concerns about the permanence of the closures and some issues with construction. COAG
Corporation will ensure that the closures meet Division construction standards. However, for
COAG Corporation's prospecting activities, we will need to remove the covers for access.
