120th Estates Partners
10201 Brighton Road, Henderson, CO 80640 303-287-2721
September 26, 2008
?OCT ? 2003
State of Colorado
Division of Minerals and Geology -
Attn: Tony Waldron
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Re: Lining of Pit at 120th & HWY 85
SW One Quarter of Section 35, Township 1 South, Range 67 West
Adams County
Mr. Tony Waldron,
We would like to propose a -fix" to our current leaking slurry wall that was not keyed in
properly when constructed.
After several tests, is has been determined that the current slurry wall has two locations
that need to be repaired due to infiltration. First area is on the West side of the property
for a distance of 400 lineal feet, the second on the North East corner of the property for a
distance of 800 lineal feet. We would like to repair the vessel by lining the entire wall at
these locations in the same manner that we originally sealed the pond at 124th and HWY
85. (Please see attached approval letter). The construction would consist of building a
walYof clay/clay stone, the same depth as the slurry wall with a width of 15 feet with a
2:1 slope, then finish the slope with sandy clay with a 3:1 slope in front of the clay wall.
We are confident that this would seal both areas effectively and would prevent any
seepage.
Regards,
Scott R. Young
Project Manager
