Sherman
Executive Director
Dick Wolfe, P.E.
Director
The Division of Water Resources has reviewed the proposed revisions to the Bowie No.
1 Mine (Permit No. C-1981-038), for the Technical Revision Application No. 50 (TR-50).
The revision proposes to drill two exploration holes, which will determine if the old mine
workings are flooded and will assist in the determination of the remaining coal reserves
within the Bowie No. 1 mine permit area. The project will involve upgrading
approximately 1.1 miles of light use road, constructing 0.1 miles of new road and the
construction of two drill pads. Currently, the SEO has no objection to the revision.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at this office at (303) 866-3581.
Sincerely,
Mark J.
