Wildlife species will be impacted by the direct loss of wildlife <br />habitat as well as the increase in human activity. <br />Burrowing owls are more tolerant of human activity than many <br />other species of raptors. They do, however, require a buffer <br />from human disturbance during their nesting period. We recommend <br />that no human disturbance take place within 75 yards of owl nest <br />sites from April 1 through July 31. <br />Mine Reclamation Recommendations (include key species/habitats for <br />which restoration is designed): <br />We recommend that the site be <br />into short grass prairie.
