In TR-56, Bowie Resources LLC (BRL) is submitting a geotechnical
report in support of their request to steepen the approved bench outslopes above the first fifty
foot bench for gob pile no. 2 from the currently approved 5H:1 V to 3H:1 V. The first bench has
already been covered in subsoil and topsoil, although not to the approved thickness, and has an
approved outslope of 2.5H:1 V. BRL is requesting approval of TR-56 so that more coal waste can
be permanently stored in the gob pile.
Attached is one complete copy of the TR-56 submittal. If you need any additional information,
please let me know.
TR-56 will be called complete Monday, October 6, 2008, so the Division's adequacy review
letter is due Wednesday, November 5, 2008. If I could receive your adequacy review memo back
by Friday, October 31, I would appreciate it. Thanks for your assistance!
Attachments
cc: Sandy Brown (without attachments)
c:/word/bowie2/tr56memo 1
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
