TRAPP21 N11111 INC.
September 29, 2008
Mr. Jason Musick
Environmental Protection Specialist RECEIVED
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 OCT 0 3" 2008
Denver, Colorado 80203 Division or Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Dear Mr. Musick:
Re: Trapper Mining Inc., Permit C-81-010
Third Quarter 2008 Sediment Pond Inspections
Impoundment inspection results for the third quarter of 2008 are enclosed. All impoundment
inspections were conducted by a qualified impoundment inspector. Inspections took place on
September 25, September 27 and September 29..
The following items were noted during the third quarter inspection.
• The principal spillway standpipe at No-Name #2 has been replaced and this pond is
functioning as it should.
• Enlargement of the pond in Horse Gulch has been completed.
• Sediment markers were not present at West Pyeatt No 1, Horse, Oak #1 and West Flume.
Cattle have knocked over the marker in Sage #2. The markers in Horse and Sage #2 will
be reset this fall. Otherwise, water elevation will dictate the timing of sediment marker
replacement.
• Due to higher water elevations, sediment markers could not be seen at East Pyeatt No.1
and No.2, Middle Flume No.1 and No. 2, East Middle Flume, Deal, and the Industrial
Waste Pond. As water levels permit, the status of these markers will be verified.
At this time, all ponds are functioning as designed.
Contact me if you have any questions or need more information.
Sincerely,
James M.
