were a total of four cool season perennial grasses and one forb that satisfy this species diversity <br />standard. In the 2007 sampling, there are five cool season grasses and two fort species, which <br />satisfied this species diversity standard. These data confirm that for both revegetation <br />monitoring periods, the species diversity standard is satisfied. <br />The Permit requires that the maximum allowable contribution by a single species cannot exceed <br />50 percent relative cover and no four species can contribute more than 80 percent of the relative <br />cover. Application of these criteria documents that in 2008, the maximum contribution in terms <br />of relative cover for a single species is 25.00 percent and the four most dominant species on this <br />site contributed 54.35 percent of the total relative cover. When this area was sampled in 2007, <br />the most dominant species contributed 16.38 percent of the total relative cover and the four <br />most dominant species on this site contributed 52.31 percent of the total relative cover on this <br />site. The revegetation monitoring data from this site confirm that for both sampling periods, the <br />species diversity standards for this area have been satisfied. <br />SHRUB CLUMP EVALUATION <br />A total of three shrub clumps, which are located in Rangeland Reclamation Block AD&H-A/B - <br />96-98, were sampled to determine if at least half of the pads within these clumps possessed at <br />least ten live shrub stems per pad. The locations of the three shrub clumps evaluated are shown <br />on the enclosed maps. Two shrub clumps, (SC-D-98 and SCD-99) are shown on Map 2, <br />Trapper Mine - Vegetation Transect Area (D-Pit) and the location of the third shrub clump <br />evaluated (SC-A-99) is shown on Map 4, Trapper Mine - Vegetation Transect Area (A-Pit). <br />The results of this sampling are summarized in Table 6, Shrub Clump - Shrub Survival <br />Summary. <br />• The revegetation success standard is that at least half of the transplanted shrub pads must <br />possess at least 10 live woody plant stems per pad. The survival of shrubs in these individual <br />clumps ranged from 40.44 percent to 98.22 percent with an average of 75.80 percent. When <br />these shrub clumps were sampled in 2007, survival ranged from 23.81 percent to 96.15 percewith an overall average of 67.09 percent. These data confirm that for both monitoring perio <br />shrub pad survival exceeds the 50 percent standard. <br />Copies of the individual field data sheets used to calculate the shrub density for the Shrub <br />Clumps are found in Exhibit D - Copies of Shrub Clump - Shrub Survival Field Data Sheets. <br />nt <br />ds, <br />Conclusions <br />After sampling 20 cover transects, 30 production and 48 shrub density transects, these data <br />confirm that the revegetation success standards have been achieved for all cover, production, <br />shrub density and shrub clump survival parameters required for successful Phase III bond <br />release, based upon sample adequacy being achieved for plant cover and for production and <br />shrub density using the reverse null statistical approach. <br />
