0 1 .3 Topsoil Replacement Documentation
Trapper is confident that average topsoil replacement depths meet at least minimum requirements for all
parcels included in this Phase II bond release application. Trapper's topsoil replacement monitoring
practices have been very uniform throughout the life of mine and are conducted in such a way as to
insure adequate topsoil replacement depths. Trapper has always closely monitored topsoil replacement
depths by means of concurrent, systematic field depth sampling by trained individuals. This field
monitoring always occurs within one to several days of topsoil replacement. by scraper crews and is
conducted before the crews leave the area. In areas where topsoil is found to be replaced at less than
the approved depth, scrapers are sent back into the area to lay down at least the required topsoil depth.
Table 1.3-1 summarizes Trapper Mine topsoil replacement depth data and provides information on data
origin. Topsoil replacement depth information is also summarized in Appendix 2.1 parcel history sheets.
•
•
9
