Table 1. South Lake, Pit Slope Measures on the Western Pit Slope:
Point Sloe %u
1 43
2 42
3 40
4 42
5 40
Based on these observations, the western pit slope ofthe south lake are approximately at a 2.4-2.5:1 ratio,
steeper than what is approved in the current reclamation plan. The site will not be released until the pit slopes
arc established at the 3:1 slope ratio as it is approved in the current reclamation plan. This is cited as a problem
on the last page of this report.
Also, many large erosion ruts have torriled along the pit slopes of the south lake. Several large ruts were
observed on the southern pit slope and the western pit slopes (see Figures 1 1-15). This is also cited as a
problem on the last page of this report.
and Russian
Russian olive tree in pit floor
