Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division has received your 05-Sep-2008 application for Technical Revision No. 61 <br />(TR-61) regarding the drilling of one new Mine Ventilation Borehole at the Elk Creek <br />Mine and Sanborn Creek Mine. The Division has the following comments regarding the <br />revision. <br />1. The proposed ventilation borehole (VB-1S-01) is located within the current <br />boundary of Permit No. C-1981-022, and will be accessed via light use roads <br />that are either pre-existing; or previously disturbed and reclaimed. <br />Disturbance of approximately 0.46 acres is anticipated. The padsite will be <br />located on BLM surface. <br />2. Block clearances for the permit area have been previously submitted (with <br />TR-53, in September 2005) for both Threatened and Endangered Species and <br />Cultural Resources. The proposed project will not affect any areas of concern <br />noted in the reports. <br />3. Drainage and sediment control for the disturbed area will be handled in a <br />manner consistent with typical examples shown in the PAP, specifically <br />Permit map 2.05-M4 (Sheet 4), Exhibit 2.05-E3 Section 9 and Exhibit 2.05- <br />E3. <br />4. The Division has determined that the proposed disturbance will increase <br />OMLLC's liability by $4,586.00. This change will result in total revised <br />Office of <br />Office of
