Mr. Clare was going to submit a TR, to allow him to
change the mining plan from wet to dry. To date no TR has been submitted. In lieu of
submitting a TR to change the mining plan, Mr. Clare had stated he would commence with the
reclamation of the site. From what was observed the only activity that was new, that was
not noted in 2004 was the enhancement of the drainage channel along the south side.
3) Mine was not active at the time of the inspection. It appears the only type of mining
related activity is the removal of material from the already stockpiled small amount of
material located along the East side of the permit area. A small screen that was noted
before was still in place
4) Along the west side of the permit area, fresh remedial type work enhancing the
drainage channel was noted. The area is prone to beaver damming the water, which has been
a consistent problem.
5) Approximately 2-3 acres appeared to have been affected, most of the area that was
affected since 1989, appeared to have naturally reclaimed itself, given its close
proximity to a water course. The current warranty in the amount of $5,000.00 will be more
than sufficient to reclaim the current disturbance. However, if additional disturbance is
expected, the operator must contact the Division so the warranty can be adjusted
accordingly.
6) Permit sign and was properly displayed and the permit area is fenced.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: MR.
