Items from the August 29, 20018 DRMS Letter: <br />Item 1: First full paragraph, Page 1. <br />"Please ensure that you publish notice soon, so thatthe 10-day public comment <br />period may close before the L)ivision's decision date. " <br />RESPONSE: GGI received the DRMS Adequacy review letter Friday, August 291' and <br />was able to submit a request for public notice publication on Tuesday September <br />2na A copy of the notice, as posted (correctly) by the Silver World newspaper is <br />attached to this letter. <br />Item 2: Exhibit C-Minn Plan lan (Rule 6.3.3): <br />"Please provide certification by a Colorado-licensed professional engineer for <br />any diagrams or calculations used in the amended plan. " <br />RESPONSE: Exhibit C was reviewed by Judy Kittson, P.E. (Civil Group) of BuckHorn <br />Geotech. Some revisions were made to the original Exhibit in response to the <br />review. A copy of her review is now included as part of attached Revised Exhibit <br />C, which now also reflects amended text from the P.E. review. <br />Item 3: Fourth entry, Page 1. <br />"Please list the types and marimum volumes of the various fluids, substances or <br />chemicals to be stored at the .site, as well as the locations. Please describe the <br />conditions in which they will be stored. " <br />RESPONSE: A portion of Exhibit IF was revised (Section 4 of Exhibit T `Designated <br />Chemical Evaluation') based on the following details provided by Richmont Mines <br />Inc.. <br />• Three diesel fuel tanks on site totaling 1,300 gallons. Each tank is of self enclosed <br />tank type and is approved by MSHA. (stored on surface of Level 6 pad) <br />• A total of 50 gallons of 15W40 diesel motor oil contained in 5 gallons plastic <br />buckets, <br />• A total of 50 gallons of hydraulic fluid contained in 5 gallons buckets, <br />• 15 gallons of anti freeze, and. <br />• 15 gallons of rock drill oil, (all in plastic buckets). <br />The lubricants are stored in a large plastic vat to prevent spillage (self enclosed). <br />(stored on surface of the Level 6 pad). Spray paint cans and spray lubricants are <br />stored in a vented steel cabinet (stored on surface of Level 6 pad). Figure B.2a was <br />created to depict the location of fluids storage, the piezometer wells etc.. <br />Item 4: Exhibit D- Reclamation Plan (Rule 6.3.4 <br />"Will topsoil (including any other growth medium) be salvaged from new areas to <br />be affected by mining activio) ?Where will the soil/growth medium be stored, and <br />how will it be protected, until used during reclamation?
