(BME) on 28 <br />March 2008. The submittal included a revision application form, proposed public notice, and <br />changes to permit text and maps to increase the permit area by 760 acres and modify the <br />currently approved mine plan. No additional surface disturbance was proposed with PR-06. <br />The PR-06 application was deemed complete on 02 April 2008. Public Notices were published <br />in the Rio Blanco Herald Times for four consecutive insertions beginning on 17 April 2008 and <br />ending on 08 May 2008. Copies of the application were filed with the Town Clerk's Office at <br />the Rangely Town Hall, and the Denver office of the Division. Comment letters were received <br />from the Colorado Division of Water Resources (08 April 2008), the United States Department <br />of Interior, Office of Surface Mining (08 April 2008), the Colorado Historical Society (10 April <br />2008, and the Colorado Division of Wildlife (19 May 2008). These letters reiterated conditions <br />that are currently placed on the permit and, as such, approved of the revision as submitted. <br />The Division sent five preliminary adequacy review comments to BME on 07 May 2008. BME <br />submitted preliminary adequacy responses on August 15, 2008 which adequately addressed all of <br />the Division's questions. <br />Notice of Violations <br />No violations were written from the period of the approval of Permit Revision 05 until the <br />present approval of Permit Revision 06. <br />Deserado Mine 6 September 19, 2008
