Overall, your calculations were very similar to the Divisions; it
only differed significantly where it came to the cost of revegetation. The only other cost
the Division added that was not included in the submitted reclamation cost estimate was
what it would cost the Division to mobilize the equipment needed to complete the
reclamation work.
The Division believes the financial warranty should be set at $589,709. The major
discrepancy between the Divisions estimate and your estimate was the cost of
revegetation, specifically the cost of grass seeding. Upon review of your response to the
2nd adequacy review, your initial calculation for slope reconstruction cost was used in the
final cost estimate.
If you have any questions please call me at (303)-866-4922
Sincerely,
ared Ebert
Environmental Protection Specialist, DBMS
CC: Tony Waldron, DRMS
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver.
