The office received an objection letter for this permit application from a Mr. Ronald Brent a landowner in the
area. Mr. Brent had several objections outlined in his letter. One was concerning possible damages to [-Tell
Creek due to the past mining operation. Mr. Brent stated that the county had bulldozed dirt into the spring and
ruined it. Upon inspection of the mine site, it did not appear that the creek has been damaged by the county
operation. Only several small cuts in the creek slope were noticed, but they appeared to have been made from
cattle traffic. (See figures 6-8)
Also, Mr. Brent stated that the county hauls in debris from other places and stock piles it within the mine site.
I Ic stated that the material looks like debris from burnt houses, concrete and building material. One small pile
of-concrete rip-rap was noticed on the site, but this pile has been there for many years and has been accounted
for in the past. The burnt material that Mr. Brent described is probably the ground up asphalt that the county
hauls in and mixes with the mined material. This issue is addressed above and will be addressed in tile ncNv
amendment application.
?M
?f

f i•tq
•r .
41
Figure 1.)
